Our school council provides a meaningful way in which pupils can voice their opinions and have their views taken into account in decisions which impact upon them. It is an important and useful way to provide leadership and development opportunities for our pupils.

Members of the Council take part in discussions and votes and also feedback any relevant information to their class. At times they are requested to ask their class for ideas or take class votes relating to issues discussed. They are currently working on improving recycling in school and writing new rules to make our lunch times run more smoothly.

Our new School Council members will start on an exciting project when school returns after lockdown.

Messages From Our School Council Members

Shakespeare

We all represent Shakespeare Class, there was a tie when we had our School Council elections so as we’re the oldest class in the school we decided we’d have four members. Csongor  - I have been chosen to represent Year 6 and I feel very honoured. I think I will be good at helping our school because I will come up with lots of ideas.  Bradley - My classmates talk to me and I can raise any issues and promote our ideas.  Ellie -I would like to make a difference as it makes the school a better place to learn when we work together.  Courtney - I am most passionate about doing a good job and helping other children to learn and encouraging them to share their ideas.

Blackman

My name is Lily. I have been chosen to represent Blackman Class.  I think I will be good at helping our school because of my ideas. I would like to make a difference with books and recycling throughout our school.  I am most passionate about making learning more fun and also  lunchtime clubs.

My name is Alex and I want to improve playtimes so we have more things to do. I already have quite a few good ideas.

Dahl

My name is Katherine.  I have been chosen to represent Dahl Class.  I want to be a school councillor so I can share my ideas with the school.  In school I’m most passionate about ICT and maths. I would like there to be more ICT in class.

My name is Layton, I have also been chosen to represent Dahl Class.  I am proud that the children in my class voted for me and I want to do my best for them.

Blyton

My name is Caitlyn.  I have been chosen to represent Year 3 Blyton Class.  I would like to make a couple of changes to the school.  I think I will be good at making positive differences to our school by changing the toilets and getting recycling bins in the playground. I like people being treated fairly, showing kindness to everybody and being respectful to others

My name is Nicolai. I have been chosen to represent Blyton Class.  I think I will be good at helping our school because I enjoy helping and meeting new people. I would like to make a difference and help everyone in our school.
